- This Road Sector Assessment Study has been prepared by the World Bank with the active involvement of the Government of Nepal, the Department for International Development (DFID), the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The purpose of this study is to determine the current status of the road sector in Nepal, identify the main issues and problems it is facing, and provide practical means to address them. It is the result of an extensive process of consultations with the Government of Nepal, both during the implementation of the study as well as in the review and approval of the study findings.
